Monday afternoon -it's almost 4:00 - kinda' hot 77°- it's been sunny for hours

Found a shady spot here at the intersection of Painter-Leetonia and Thompson Hollow Roads

Thompson Hollow Road makes me think of my friends who grew up in this region - I wonder if they ever walked here

Saw either a Bear or a squashed Bobcat track back on Refuge Trail - it was pretty muddy so it was tough to tell which it was - took a picture of the best one I saw - hope it comes out ok

Saw a lot of beauty today- deer are everywhere - the snorting brings back memories of being awakened on July 5th - saw a porcupine - it startled me - pretty cool though - spooked some Grouse too, but otherwise this has been a quiet hike - I walked for hours this morning before I realized I hadn't said anything - I slipped and almost fell and uttered "shite" - collected myself and thought wow I just said something - solo hiking is pretty cool that way - an excerpt from the Buddhist Song of Mahamudra - (sp ?) - has been the theme these days. I've carried A Course in Miracles with me, but I've done no reading - pretty heavy book to carry and not read - maybe I'll read tonight - I just started chapter 30.

Break time is over - water is refilled - just a few more miles to camp - humming Poptones - PiL.

(This page of my journal got quite wet, but this is pretty much complete. Only a little was lost, I just couldn't read all the smeared ink and I didn't want to try to recreate anything. It just wouldn't be the same- enjoy)
