Day 1 - 8/15 - After a medical delay on my part - finally hit the trail at the Southern Terminus at 4:30pm.
Knowing there wouldn't be much daylight - shot for Dillon's Hollow. The first ascent was killer.
Spooked a deer when the trail turned towards the gorge.
A car passed and waved just before the first vista - encountered a man walking south smoking a cigarette. The smoke smell hung in the air.
Mosquitoes are plentiful with all the dampness.
The view of Blackwell was perfect from the first vista.
The thought of climbing another hill stopped the hike dead at Bohen's Run .
